An artificial spring component mode synthesis method for built-up structures

چکیده

In this paper, we develop a component mode synthesis method that relies on artificial springs to connect the subsystems of built-up structure. The modal behaviour can be computed using different approaches, from analytical numerical methods, depending their complexity. advantage link is one model them with Rayleigh–Ritz method, which problematic in synthesis. As known, approximating functions must satisfy system boundary conditions and use avoids difficulty. Moreover, as other build reduced-order models at subsystem level significantly diminish dimensions entire structure, resulting substantial reduction computational cost when performing simulations. first presented for simple case two axially connected beams.
